Sylvia joined Wemos in 2022. As Head of Programmes, she leads the thematic teams at Wemos. She also supports the organization’s external partnership development.
Sylvia has an MSc in Health Sciences (University of Nijmegen, Netherlands) and an MBA in International Health Management (University of Basel, Switzerland). She previously worked with the Cochrane Collaboration and with the Council on Health Research for Development (COHRED). Throughout her professional career, she has focused on strengthening health (research) systems, and using evidence in health policy and practice to achieve better health for all.
