New advocacy brief asks EU leaders to support fair financing for health and development at FfD4

In a new advocacy brief, Wemos urges European governments to support fair, systemic reforms in global finance as they prepare for the fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4). New WHO report on social determinants of health calls for financial reform

On 6 May 2025, the World Health Organization launched its new ‘World Report on the Social Determinants of Health Equity’. The report explains how a person's health is profoundly shaped by factors like birthplace, income, gender and race. New report: governments not doing enough to improve pharma market transparency

A new report by Wemos and Health Action International shows that most governments are lagging behind in implementing the World Health Assembly (WHA) resolution on increasing transparency in the pharmaceutical sector. The lack of action in this area hampers global access to affordable medicines and accountability for decisions that affect public health. The report highlights the steps taken in selected regions and countries to improve pharmaceutical transparency and provides recommendations. Read more
