Election candidates layout vision for future of Dutch leadership in human rights and global health

How can the Netherlands maintain and strengthen its role in human rights and global health? This was the focus of a pre-election event in The Hague, organized by the Dutch Global Health Alliance (DGHA) and the SRHR Platform. Draft GFF Strategy 2026-2030: a chance to give input

Wemos welcomes the publication of the draft GFF 2026–2030 Strategy for the second public consultation. We see it demonstrates a renewed commitment to equity, country ownership, and sustainable health financing. #SeeMe campaign: highlighting the impact of Make Way

We are happy to announce that we have launched the second part of our #SeeMe campaign under the Make Way programme. This second and final part of the campaign shines a light on the impact of the programme in the countries where it has been implemented (Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia), as well as on the regional and global level. It features six impact stories with interviews with youth, religious leaders and civil society on how Make Way has increased the understanding of the importance of an intersectional approach to ensure sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all, and the vital role that youth can play in this. Wemos at the 4th Finance for Development Conference

They contributed to the Civil Society Declaration, shared our perspectives in workshops and participated in frank conversations with EU parliamentarians, institutions, and country delegates. Statement at the World Local Production Forum 2025

From 7 to 9 April 2025, Julia Hochberger, global health expert at Wemos, participated in the World Local Production Forum. At this conference, organized by the World Health Organization, relevant stakeholders discuss the opportunities to enhance global access to medicines through local production. In a session on government policies and commitments, Julia gave a statement on what is needed to ensure that regional production leads to countries' self-reliance in access to medical products. New advocacy brief asks EU leaders to support fair financing for health and development at FfD4

In a new advocacy brief, Wemos urges European governments to support fair, systemic reforms in global finance as they prepare for the fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4). The conference, set to take place in Seville (Spain) from 30 June to 3 July, will define how countries mobilize and govern public resources for the next decade. Read more
