Ruud van den Hurk
Has held executive roles in a number of civil society organizations
Ruud van den Hurk held the position of Executive Director at ActionAid in Amsterdam from 2008 to early 2020. Before that, he held leadership positions at various organizations in the Netherlands and abroad, such as Simavi, International Care and Relief (United Kingdom) and InterAid (Kenya). He also has a background in telecommunications and has worked in the business sector in East Africa. Van den Hurk studied Social Geography at the University of Amsterdam. His focus in the board is on governance and finance. He also participates in the audit committee.
