Valeria is responsible for the development and implementation of Wemos’ communications strategy and the management of the communication staff. She is also a member of Wemos’ management team.

“Ever since I can remember, I have felt strongly about global injustice leading to fundamental differences in the chances peoples have in their lives. Why should one person have access to basic needs like healthcare, food and safety, while another does not?”
In prior roles, including as Head of Communication at the Faculty of Science of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and at an international project developer, she gained a broad experience in the communications profession.
Valeria received her degree in Intercultural Communication and subsequently a master’s in Euro culture at the University of Groningen. During her training, she lived in Spain, Portugal and Uruguay. “At Wemos I combine my passion for translating complex issues into compelling stories with the great mission to achieve global health justice.”
