Where possible, Wemos continuously takes privacy-enhancing (security) measures.

7. Retention periods

Our aim is to destroy personal data as soon as we no longer need these to achieve our goals. Some data are stored for the purpose of a financial and/or tax obligation. In that case, your data will be stored for seven years. At the end of this period, we will carefully delete your personal data.

8. Your rights

If your personal data is processed, you have several rights, which are set out below. You can exercise these rights by submitting a written request to Wemos or by sending an e-mail to: info@wemos.org.

An employee of Wemos will then respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case, within a week, in principle by e-mail. If you submit a request to change your personal data, we will first assess whether we can process your request. For example, we cannot do this if we cannot establish your identity. In that case, we cannot assess whether you are entitled to request making the change.

  • Access and/or change personal data

You can ask us at any time which (categories of) personal data Wemos processes about you, for what purposes this is done, which source the personal data comes from and which retention periods are used. In addition, you can contact us at any time to supplement, correct or delete your personal data.

  • Withdrawal of consent

You can easily withdraw the consent to process your personal data at any time by sending an email to info@wemos.org.

  • Right to object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by Wemos based on the principles ‘legitimate interest of Wemos’. If Wemos bases itself on these principles, Wemos will weigh the different interests regarding your privacy. The right to object gives you the opportunity to require Wemos to make the balance of interests once more.

  • Right to lodge a complaint or initiate legal proceedings

You always have the possibility to file a complaint about the use of personal data by Wemos in general, both to Wemos and to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. The contact details of the Dutch Data Protection Authority can be found here.
