Video: European health workforce crisis is a shared responsibility

Due to health workforce shortages in many European countries, many citizens in Europe do not have access to the right care from a skilled and motivated health worker. In our new video, we call on European policymakers to approach the European health workforce crisis as a joint concern and shared responsibility, and to support its Member States in tackling the health workforce crisis.

In addition, the European Union can contribute to a sustainable solution by supporting its Member States by:

• Earmarking funds for structural investments in the health workforce.
• Acquiring better data to understand health worker supply, demand and need, and the root causes for their uneven availability in the Union.
